just got a 8month old french mastiff 2 weeks ago and are going away do we get someone to look after him at home or board

i dont want to stress him out by moving him around as he is already sad and cries when we leave and we are so new to him. i have heard that keeping him at home with someone else will make him be more upset and harder to calm down when we return home after a week away but i feel like it is less stressful then boarding him. please help

Always find someone to board. Not in a kennel though, at home sitting, but at their home and not yours.

Cheap boarding can be at PetSmart. They have these suites with TV's in them, and if you buy their Daycare package, your puppy pretty much gets to play from 9AM-5PM with other dogs. It's great socialization and not as expensive as a private home sitter.
