it would be best to pick a dog that has a slightly lower and more submissive energy then your current dog(s).Two dogs of the same energy could cause a fight if both are hyper active like border collies.Or if you dog is mellow and the new dog is too hyper.

Check out shadow. He is a german shepherd husky mix and is a very good dog.He was not aggressive toward my aunts labrador. Here is a link to the rescue if you would like you can contact them and ask about him.

Another border collie, you are better with dogs that are equally matched speed wise with each other. I have two borders. Other dogs they like to play with are springers and bedlingtons as they are fast and can keep up with them and play for hours!

It really depends on the personality of the dog. Try introducing your dogs to the Border Collie and if it doesn't work out with that dog, try another dog. Contact the owner of this dog and be sure to ask questions about the dog before brining her home.

If you see a dog you like, e-mail the foster parent or shelter its at, ask theem, usually if its not good with other dogs there will be a dog sign with a cross over it, you could always get another Border Collie Mix!
