Is time or distance important when exercising your dogs?

I go walking once a day with my two dogs Skylar (Siberian Husky) Luna (Husky Mix) while I skateboard. they pull me for 4 and sometimes 5 miles. My question is time or distance important when I go exercise them. I know 1 hour twice a day is recommended but I'm only taking them for 1 hour a day. Both of them are 2 years old. Thanks

I think you are doing great! 4 or 5 miles of pulling..which is what they were bred to do..could tire out both body & mind. Especially if you have them harnessed & use mushing commands.
Know your dogs..are they raring to go a few hours after the walk? Or are they pretty much content after that?

Dogs like that should be able to handle the exercise. I think I would worry more about heat then anything. You may want to give them like one day off a week just to recover and rest.
