Is there really any difference between and black pom and a red pom, besides the colour?

Will they generally look the same full grown just a different colour?

No there is no difference in them except for the color. Just like there is no difference in a black lab and a brown lab. A red pom and a black pom are both Pomeranians just different colors.

A well bred pom is going to have NO differences between colors, in fact, the different colors often show up in the same litter. Much of the differences you see are from poms that come from BYB's and puppy mills, where their parents are bred just to make more puppies and money and not with any attention to their temperaments and size and coat quality.

assuming that they are both a well bred pure pomeranian, there will be no difference other than color. I have had a black pom and they are just beautiful. The black pom puppies dont really change color as they grow older, whereas the lighter poms (such as the red ones) get lighter as they grow older. The black ones are more uncommon, but they are both beautiful. I currently have a chocolate merle parti pom. No mater which color you go with, make sure you do your homework on the breeder and pick one that is reputable. Stay away from puppy mills, BYBs and pet stores in order to have a happy and healthy pom. Good luck, whichever one you choose, you will love it.
