Is there anyway to get a litter registered akc is the mother is aca and the father akc and aca?
I bought an american female cocker who was aca registered and was bred to an akc and aca male american cocker. We had the puppies, and there is one that is very rare and beautiful--i would love to keep him, but the rest of our cockers, all 3, are akc. I'm not sure how a dog qualifies to become akc registered, if the parent is not. I have tried reading the akc website but saw no info on this. does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

They cannot be AKC registered if both parents are not AKC registered. Sorry.

No they can't be...Both parents must be AKC registered to register the pups.
Please have your dogs fixed...There are dogs dying everyday in shelters because of pet overpopulation...Even purebred Cockers...Please don't add to the problem!

You can email AKC and see if they will.
I have a SV registered dog and I can under their guidelines. I can send a 5x7 photo front and side view, $50 foreign register fee, and what else I can't remember right now.
But they do work with other associations now. They are also very prompt in answering all emails. good luck.
