is she a silky terrier or a yorkie?
my sister bought a dog recently, she always wanted a yorkie and she got this puppy, she was told she was a yorkie but as she grew a little bit and now that she's 3 months we saw some features that makes us ask ourselves if she is a yorkie for real or a silky.
the silky breed is not very common where we live, we where told by the breeder that the puppy was going to be bigger than an average yorkie, we saw the parents of the little puppy and agreed cause we fell in love with her and we didnt wanted her to have any kind of trouble when the time came to have her own puppies.
we ask if anyone knows if she is a yorkie or a silky not because we would think less of her or care less about her or give her back or whatever...we really really adore her but we would love to know her real breed so we can take perfect care of her and give her all she´ll need.
thanks to anyone willing to answer...if you want to see her photos, her name is lola and she is on my page registered as a yorkie so far.

One thing is absolutely 100% certain....Lola is ADORABLE!
I am pretty sure that what ya got there is a larger than average Yorkshire Terrier and not a Silky Terrier or Australian Terrier.
For starters, the shape of the face is more yorkie than silky. Silkies have slightly "sharper" faces and the ears seem to be higher up on the head, as a general rule.
It can be hard to tell by the coat at this age since several small terrier breeds start out looking like Lola and gradually change coat color as they age. In fact, in a few more months, you'll probably notice Lola's coat changing a lot in the coming months and she will probably have a lot less black in her fur.
I completely know what you mean about wanting to know out of curiosity rather than being upset about what she is.
Ultimately, though, in terms of taking care of her, the good news is that if you take good care of her, take her to the vet for checkups, it doesn't really matter if you ever find out!

She looks like a yorkie. Silky Terriers don't have much brown, they are more of the color you see on Lolas legs and face. They are a lot lighter in color all over the body.
Thats just a guess though. I think if you pay for a dog you should get papers. But thats just a personal opinion. I would never pay a lot of money for a dog and not get papers for them.
But no matter what she is, she is cute and healthy and thats all that matters!
