Is my male dog hurt after being pulled apart during mating?

A stray dug its way into my yard and started mating with my male dog, they were stuck together at their butts. I didnt know what to do and sprayed them with the hose hoping she would just leave. Well, she got scared and instead of just releasing my dogs penis like I thought would happen it remained stuck while she tried to go back through the hole under the fence. Eventually after some struggle my dog was free. I researched (a little too late) that this is the mating tie and I should not have forced them to detach. Do you thing my male's penis can be harmed from this? Hes acting normal like nothing is wrong.

since his tool is made out of tissue and blood vessels. I think it would be best to have the vet examine his tool , he can expose the area by pulling the skin back to see if there is any damage.
If they have tied , I would say she will have babies. If you see her, catch her and have the rescue in your area pick her up. Or if she is at a home, notify the owners that she dug under the fence and your male has bred her.
Make sure you fill hole and place cement blocks over that area.Better yet, neuter your dog so that no other females come for him or vise versa good luck.

Dieta... I am sorry but I would not neuter MY male dog to keep someone's running at large female dog in heat from digging under MY fence!!! AFTER I contacted animal control to pick up the dog, I would be sending the owner a bill for any vet bills MY dog incurred.
OP, keep an eye on him and if he shows any signs of pain or difficulty urinating have him examined by your vet and send the bill to the owner of the other dog!

he seems fine but keep an eye out for any signs he might be in pain we had this happen with two dogs out in the middle of the street by our house the owner of the female dog came and grabbed her and one of the dogs squeeled and the male ran away they were in the same mating tie as your dog and the stray female were if you do see the female dog contact your animal control and reprot he and another question is how log were they in this mating tie before she ran under the fence if not very long say like 2 to 5 minutes it is possible that she may not have pups but i believe that is very rare you dont have to neuter your dog but there is a shot you can give him to lower his sperm count and his desire to mate with unspayed females in heat ask your vet about it good luck
