I would be call a vet and get advice. I know it is very expensive but I once ate a mushroom and I called a vet asking what she would do. She told me to lick rubbing alcohol so I could vomit the mushroom out. We hope you feel better! Luv, Sunny

Take him to the vet!!!!! Borrow some money from a friend or a family member! whtever but get him to the vet!! and after tht, i think u shld put him up for adoption cuz it doesnt seem tht ur financially ready to have a dog in ur life yet. Hope Peanut is well!

Sounds like Parvo I bought my mom a shi tzu and before i could give her to my mom she got sick and i found out that she had parvo i to was broke so i called some vets and one of them let me pay half then post date a check for the rest. I took her home that day with the iv fluids and antibiotics and nursed her back to health. she made it she is now 5 years old and is the love of my moms life. please at the very least call some vets in the area maybe they can recomend something.

Please read this....it's everything you need to know about parvo and the symptoms. Diarrhea sometimes yellow in color, vomiting, loss of appetite and lethargy. The above answers are great , my little yorkie had a bout of sickness recently , which turned out to be something he ate outside and then ate grass to make himself sick. If your dog is not vaccinated there is a good chance its parvo and urgently needs to see a vet ,He needs hydrating , and it is important not to feed him for 24 hours as it will make him sicker. Call your local vet and maybe he will give you some good advice , and maybe he will accept payment installments .

Sorry, but it is vet time for little Peanut. You know what? My family technically can't afford the vet bills either. We're below the poverty level, AND on a fixed income. BUT we take our dogs to the vet anyway because we know how important it is to our dog's health. We know that not taking our dogs to the vet in an emergency (like yours) could cost our dogs their very life. If in the event we ever had to absolutely stop taking our dogs to the vet, we would either ask for donations, set the bills up on a payment plan, or give the dogs away to someone who could afford the vet bill. I wouldn't want my dogs to go, but I'd rather have them healthy with someone else than sick and dying with me.

All the above answers are great. HE NEEDS A VET. Maybe the vet will help with a payment plan agreement. Also, you can look at getting insurance. $10-$30 per month will cover him for most things.

The poor helpless animal desperately needs to be seen by a vet. You can't afford it? Then when you take it to the vet, give it up and let the spca take it from there. You have no right having a living, breathing, loving animal that you can't take care of. Your kids would be taken from you by the state if you treated your kids like this. Take the dog to the vet now and worry about the money later. Odds are the vet isn't a heartless s.o.b and will take the dog in and I'm sure will work out the financials later.

Please get to the vet dont wait , they can work with you. This just happened to my sarah 3 months old on Sunday. vet said it was parvo. She just started eating and drinking today she made it. If I didnt take her she would have dehydrated I will say a prayer for peanut.

I am not going to tell you to take your pet to the vet.. cause you said you couldn't afford it. What you can do is give him gatorade and hope that his immune system kicks in. (because antibiotics aren't always the answer anyway) Plus, your pet is dehydrated at this point if its vomiting and got diarrhea, and really needs the electrolytes and liquid. So take a syringe and fill it, and squirt it into your pups mouth. If he doesn't come around within the next couple days.. then your next option would be to surrender him to your local pound. They can treat him, but.. you can't have your pet back. He will be placed with a new loving family who can afford vetrinary care if something were to happen to Peanut in the future.

I agree with Abby. Being only 4 months old AND a Chi, both are things you do not want to mess around with in the illness department because things go from OK to terrible in the blink of an eye. The symptoms almost sound like Parvo to me. Please see a vet... there is no substitute for this problem. Put it on your credit card or apply for CareCredit.

OF COURSE your dog is sick - vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating are OBVIOUS signs of illness. Your dog NEEDS to see a veterinarian ASAP - he should have seen a vet before it got this severe. If the vomiting and diarrhea continue, there is a very high chance that your dog WILL die within the next few days, simply of dehydration and it just being too much for his system. If you can NOT afford the vet, please call the local SPCA or any local rescues. You WILL have to sign the dog over if he goes to the SPCA or a rescue, but they will provide medical care for him IF he is not already too far gone to be saved. If he's too far gone, they will likely just put him to sleep. Honestly, symptoms sound like Parvo to me - vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy. Is there any blood in the stools? Parvo is very commonly deadly if not treated immediately and aggressively.
