is my dog greedy or hungry ?

ifeed my dog a little more than a half cup twice a day . i read online that for spayed female dogs they get fed less than i would normally [used to get fed a whole cup]. as soon as she would finish eating she would search the whole house looking for something else to eat . she just had her worm vaccination , approx.3 years old , from a shelter , parsons terrier mix

You should feed her according to her weight and excersize. I don't think what you saw is true about feeding her less if she is spayed. (Someone's lazy idea so the dog doesn't get fat cause they don't excersize them..) It is better to feed her normally and excersize her.

Normal. Dogs have an instinct to eat all the food they can find. In the wild this helps them survive. In domestication it only makes them overweight and can hurt their health.

As long as you think she's at a healthy weight, she's fine. A good indicator of healthy weight is, you should be able to feel the ribs fairly easily, though--with the exception of certain breeds (such as sighthounds)--the ribs should not be visible. She should also have a waist when viewed from above.
Don't compare her to other people's dogs, most of them are actually overweight.
