I do have feathers on my chest, legs and chest, but now thick. My hair is about three inches long and my ears are not really feathery. I am also not real tall, about 28 inches to the shoulder. He coat may also be different due to the warm climate. My friend lived in FL with he golden for years and his dogs coat is different then mine who has been in MD (where it gets cold) her whole life.
