Im looking into starting a doggy daycare, I was wondering what do/would you look for in a doggy daycare?

what things do you dislike about doggy daycare and what things do you like? are the prices to high? Is it to far away to take your dog? Do the staff teach the dogs manners while their there? what do they do to keep the dogs safe? Thank-You :)

the facility of where the dogs will be at, the cleaniness of the place and the cleaniness outside, like feces.
and the friendlyness of the staff
and following instructions
the staff does not interact with training the dogs. I would not want anyone trying to train my dog if my dog is already fully trained, ones training methods are not the same as others.
I would not work on manners, not sure in what depth you mean by that. if the dog can not interact with other dogs appropriately they should be seperated to prevent injury to other dogs.
dogs I would think be seperated by sex, and if the owner prefers the dog to be with other dogs or be seperated.
I don't like leaving my dogs with other dogs. :) I usually board at kennels with kennels that are secure kennels. no open running with a ordinary fence for security of dog jumping fence.

First thing I would look at is experience with dogs. Then I would want to see your set up and see how clean and what kind of place would my dig be staying in. Then I would want to talk to the owner to see what kind of emergency plan do they have.

My dog goes to two separate day cares because of scheduling. One separates little dogs from big dogs. My dog is considered small at 40 lbs but she likes playing with the big dogs. One day care is also a grooming facility and they frequently work on training which I don't mind. If a behavior needs correcting then it's good they're able and willing to do that. One charges $10/day and the other $20/day. both are smaller facilities where the dogs are closely watched.

My friend used a day care where the dogs were all together in a pack with little supervision and after his puppy suffered 3 injuries he never returned.

I think day care is great. My dog is well socialized. And it's better for her than sleeping in a crate all day.

Good luck.
