I'm getting a Soft coated wheaten terrier, but i don't know how many times a week i have to groom it.
I've tried researching on wheaten terriers and when i type in how to groom it, one site said i should only groom it once a week and another site said groom it heaps. I'm confused.

I would groom that breed daily, but the breed should go to a professional groomer either every 4-6 or 4-8 weeks.
Hope this helps!

It will depend on how short you will be keeping the coat length. Wheaten terriers have very soft hair and it matts easily. Daily brushing thru the entire coat is recommended and professional grooming should be done every six to eight weeks. If it is very short this will be a quick brush thru paying special attention to the areas that matt easily such as legs, elbows, etc., but if you keep the coat long it will be much more daily brushing.

You could also contact a breeder and have then type out some directions for the grooming.
If it is a puppy you can cut it and have a puppy cut.
Or if it is an adult you can brush the coat out, I think you can use a slicker brush. The coat will take on a fluffy appearance. I think depending on how you want it. You can either have puppy cuts or brush it out and it will be fluffy and wavy like. good luck.

You should talk to people who own the breed to get a better idea. It's also best to meet the breed for yourself to insure that it's the right breed for you.
The internet is full of information, and some of it does conflict. This is because many people contribute to the internet.

I depends on how short you keep the hair. But if kept in an actual wheaten clip they should be brushed and combed out every day. Grooming 4-6 weeks or if you comb daily I am sure you could get away with waiting every 8 weeks. I am sure your breeder will help you out and answer any questions. I am also sure that they will have a name or two of a good groomer in the area.

I would give it a good rushing with a soft bristled brush several times a week and see how it goes. Increase or decrease it as needed. I have found our golden, tux, needs more brushing than our Labs did.
