Im dog sitting for my friend and Ive been having some trouble getting this pup and my pup to chill out and leave each ot

My dog is a 9 month old Jack russell/mutt(about 40 lbs) and the other dog is a tiny little 10 pound purse dog.

It seems that if one dog is relaxing the other is pestering and id hate to see the little dog get hurt
