If my Jonny is trying to make himself the Alpha-Dog how can I stop his marking?
An answer I received to my question about why Jonny pees on the bed was that maybe Jonny (1 year old) is trying to establish himself as the alpha-dog since 10 year old died. If this is the case, how can we stop him from peeing on the bed? He is getting neutered this month, will that help? I guess my real problem with this is two of us humans and Sophie (new dog) were on the bed and two cats were under the bed. He looked right as me and just let it go, almost peeing on me! This happened before we got the new dog but not when the 10 year old was around. Is he even trying to let the cats know that he is the one ruling the roost? For a little more detail please see Jonny's other question about 1 year old boxer peeing on the bed.

Jonny is testing you.You should show him that you are the owner and he is the dog. That can be done with very good obedience training. The next time he will do that, get up, say NO and don't pay any attention on him.
Hope that this will help
