I want to get a small older dog, can't leave it outside or crated all day. Do the fake grass potties work OK? Ideas?

The neighborhood is not safe for a dog to be left in the yard alone, and I will not crate it all that time. Just would like some ideas on indoor potties. Thank you!

I have talked to a couple of people that use them, and they work real well for them. Getting the dogs used to going on them is the first battle, but they can work if you are willing to do the training.
