i live in upstate ny and want to get a doggie door for me, an australian blue heeler...i need one that will seal good since we get TONS of cold weather..any recommendations? thanks.

Try Home Depot , Lowes,Petco, or Petsmart. I've been looking at the ones that fit into the sliding door for next summer.

Over the years I have tried every kind of doggy door made! I have yet to find one that won't blow open in our NH Winters. Right now I have a home made "tunnel" affair with a doggy door on each end, sort of an air lock and it still lets in way, way too much cold air! Plus, I have one little lab who insists on sitting in the door, holding it open. I guess she is keeping her back end warmer while watching the outside?
