Well, if you think about it, if you had people pushing and shoving you into a cage, you'd fight back, too.
Why not make the crate a pleasant experience? Leave the crate open when she doesn't have to be in there, so she can explore it at her own will.
During play time, throw toys in there so she'll have to go in to retrieve them.
Feed her in the crate.
Teach her to go in on command, and reward her for doing so. If she's food motivated, this should be easy.
