I have an 8 month old Jack Russell/Corgie mix. She mostly knows to poop on the patio mat but she forgets to pee on it.

We live in a condo and don't have a backyard. We leave the sliding glass door open when we are home so she can go in and out.

If you just got the dog at 8 months it is hard to train. But if you dog drinks just give her 20-30 minutes then let her go to the bathroom. Also say potty and see if she will go. Potty is also a way if you have to go to work and you say potty your dog should go on the pat. Also if your dog fails at that, and she pees on the floor spray the area with the pee remover that helps the dog to not pee at that spot. Some people mop their floor with the pee/poop remover. Wipe the pee on the paper towel and spray the stuff on another paper towel. Also wipe the pee paper towel on the mat. So she might smell the pee and on the mat not the floor
