I have a six years old sheltie who is having trouble walking. She has inflamation in her joints. What can I do to help.
She is on pain pills and steroids to help her. Does anyone have some other suggestions to help her? Sheltie owners please respond.

How long has she been on the medication? I'd also highly recommend putting her on a Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement.

I have a 13 year old retriever with severe arthritis. Previcox helps a lot but you have to have a prescription and check blood levels periodically. (expensive) Cosequin DS has also helped a lot, you can get this at PetCo. (also expensive) Make sure she moves around, even if she has trouble walking.
