I have a pug x, she get overly excited when she gets any attention, so my husband and I go about just ignoring her. We can even pick her up or pat her. We can't cuddles her because she wiggles around and jumps on you. I just want to be able to pet her and give her cuddles without her becoming overly excited and jumping on us. When we pick her up to give her a cuddles she wiggles around till we drop her and she then jumps up and scratches our legs. When we try and pat her she get excited and jumps all over us and mouths our hands. She one years old and i thought she would calm down but she hasn't and I don't want to keep ignoring her. Help pls

I agree, ignoring her isn't the way to go. This will probably make it worse.
You can try some training exercises with treats, but it requires alot patience and persistance.
Try sitting in the floor with her. Give her a minute to release some of her over excitement, then start working with her, first, by placing her in the sit position, if she stays for 3 seconds or more, give her a treat and high praises. This will of course excite her again, but keep repeating. She will eventually connect calm, with praise and treats. Then practice other commands, like down and stay, using the same method.
Also, give her lots of exercise, she has excess energy and she doesn't know what do to with it except take it out on you. So play with a toy with her, let her run like the wind, and get her good and tired. This will help calm some of the excitement over time.
When she is sleeping, you can cuddle without the over excitement, and she will feel your love for her peacfully.
Goodluck
