I've known dogs that do the same thing. Probably trying to play.

If she does anything that you want her to stop doing in this instance, refuse to play. Tell her no, and put her in a time-out (a few minutes in a crate, or back inside) if she doesn't stop.
When my dog gets too rowdy (for me, that's usually when he barks constantly during play and/or play-bites) I usually tell him to lie down and have him stay for a couple of minutes.

Basically, only play with her when she plays nice. She should catch on.

My GSP does the same exact thing. I think she's playing. It's annoying without a doubt. I have to keep her inside when I want to pick up her poop. She doesn't do it in other people's backyards. Just her own.

Who is this directed at? You or anyone that comes into the yard?
Are you sure she isn't playing?

Or
Does she see the backyard as her territory?
