Congrats on your new fur.
Leash and collar.
I would bring a blanket for your pup to lay on. Some pups can get car sick, washing a blanket is much easier than washing car seats.
I would bring food and water (won't be needed for this trip) but I think this should be taken on any road trip your taking, you never know when something can happen. Deogie always has a plastic container with food and a bottle of water in the vehicle.
I always have plastic bags in my car or my purse when out and abound with Deogie. Nothing worse than standing there remembering you forgot something to pick up poop.
Make sure you feed your pup the food the breeder is feeding then gradually make a switch to a food of your choice. This will avoid diarrhea.
Have a safe trip.

Crate or something safe and comfortable to carry her in, in the car. A water bowl...ahhh maybe contact your breeder. She might have a puppy package to go with her or at least she can advise you on what you need to keep your puppy safe in the car.
You might ask about the first days at home too.
Good luck.

Mainly a leash and a collar. It might be well to have a plastic bag or 2 for cleaning up bowel movements. A crate anchored down in the back is the best thing, but we always let our new puppies ride on the floor.
A puppy doesn't need food or water for a 3 hour trip. It may need a relief break. Be very careful to avoid the dog relief areas at a rest stop. Too much chance of picking up a fatal virus. If you do stop at one, carry the puppy well away from the areas anybody else uses.

Everyone gave you good advice.
I'd personally bring water, because you never know if the dog is going to need some. Just a water bottle and a bowl is all that you need for water.
Also, depending on how young your puppy is, plan on stopping maybe once or twice along the way. Young puppies have very small bladders and the excitement of the drive, the new people will undoubtedly make her more prone to needing to pee.
Good luck with your new puppy!

A crate is a wonderful idea unless your new pup is a very large breed. However, your dog must be restrained somehow. PetsMart used to sell harnesses and seat belt "tethers" that clip onto the harness and into your seat belt. I used to use these for Jessie in the back seat. Be sure to take an adjustable collar or aforementioned harness (a better idea since a dog can't slip a harness) because your pup will need to exercise and potty once an hour or so. (So don't plan on any less than a 4 or 5 hour total trip on the way home). If you are travelling on a highway, designated rest stops usually provide a place to walk and potty your dog, but be sure to take plastic bags to pick up after her. Take water, but don't let her drink too much as it may affect her stomach due to car-riding. Don't feed her. She'll be able to wait. Good luck and enjoy that puppy breath!

Definetly bring a kennel or crate. Traveling with out a crate in a moving vehicle could be dangerous in the event of a wreck. A Blankie to for puppy to snugglw would be good. Two bottles of water. One for puppy to drink and the other to heat in the microwave. Just ask your breeder to heat it. Then wrap it in a blanket to make the puppy feel like its still by momma. Some puppy food to hold puppy over til ypu get home. A leash, collar and pick up bags for frequent potty stops. About once an hour potty the puppy. Two portable travel bowls to feed and water. And bring a Heart filled with love for your new fluffy friend. Good luck. give ur pup kisses

Someone already mentioned this, but be very, very careful where you let her potty on the trip home! Although she has most likely had her first vaccines her mother's immunity may have prevented them from protecting her and you need to make sure she is not exposed to places frequented by other dogs. This is also true when you get her home... wait until she has completed the puppy series before she meets other dogs.
Have fun and enjoy your baby!!!!

Paper towels or old towels in case the puppy gets sick and you need to clean them up or the crate up. this way also if the puppy has an accident in the crate, you dont feel bad throwing a towel away and not having to smell that for three hours. Done that, it is not fun. Best of luck on the new puppy.
