i found an insect on my dog that jumped when i tried to catch it, i'm sure its not a flea, can it be a tick?
I found a black insect on my dog looks like spider yet can fly and jump away when i try to catch. Its hard and difficult to crush. can it be a tick, I know how a flea is like , so its not a flea.

Ticks dont jump, not that I know of. My dog has had ticks before and they are really hard to crush but they usually crawl really slowly on the dog until they attach themselves. So is is not a tick.
