I forgot how to ask to be someone's pup pal and I can't figure it out. How do you do it?

I know you used to have to click the star under the picture to make this request, but I don't see any star icons under the picutres anymore. Help.

If you're in a forum and someone posts you can see a 'become pals' button.

And if you're on a dogs page, there are little squares below their main picture, and just a little bit above that there is a bar that says
'become pals with this dog' or something like that.
