I adopted a medium size beagle, but she is not house trained,

Trixie is her name, she is 2 years old. She does pee outside, but it is cold outside now. She pees in the house on our rug, can you please give me some tips, she also chews and destroys sandals, shoes, please help.

Put up the shoes where she can't reach them. Provide her with some appropriate chew toys like stuffed kongs, bully sticks, cow ears.. etc..I would treat her like a puppy and start from the beginning. Make sure you praise and treat her for going outside. Shovel a grassy patch if it has snowed. When she is not tethered to you, have her in her appropriate sized crate so she won't soil it. Use an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle for accidents. Be consistent!

Obi said it well...put the shoes etc up out of reach and provide lots of her own toys. Not to sure why it matters that its cold outside? She should still go to the bathroom outside. If you mean there is snow and she wont pee in the snow do as Obi says and shovel a part off for her to go in. Make sure your carpet gets cleaned properly or she will keep peeing where her scent is natural for her to go where her smell is....good luck!
