How often should my 2 month old puppy sleep?

I just got a puppy last week, and she is only 2 months old. She is very calm and well behaved... but mostly because all she does is sleep most the day and night! I know babies sleep a lot when they are very young, is this the same for pups?

Yes this is the same with puppies escpecially ones 8 weeks or younger, when she gets older she should become more active, no need to worry! :) but if you are concerned double check with your vet!

for starters she looks just like my baby Lilly, her papers say lab mix.back to the question, yes they sleep a lot, enjoy the time now, she's saving up her energy for when she reaches 4 or 5 months. Have fun with your new pup.

Yep. Enjoy the calm while it lasts. She may get you up at night, but she will sleep a lot during the day. By 5 months puppies get more active, start chewing EVERYTHING, and become major snoops - nose into every crack and cranny.

Start training now so she will be manageable when she hits 5 months.

Plan on having chews for her to keep busy, so she won't chew shoes, walls etc.

Enjoy her, they grow so fast!!!
