All depends on the quality and type of food you are feeding.

You should be feeding your pup 2-3 times a day, please avoid free feeding. Also, you should be using a quality kibble, I have provided a short list. Using a quality kibble you do not have to feed a lot of food because it is higher calories per cup. Read the directions on the back of the bag and follow per the pups size and activity level for a puppy.

At 9 weeks when i initially got my catahoula leopard puppy i fed her 3-4 times a day...i believe it was science diet at the time since thats what the shelter said they were feeding her. I fed her in half cup increments till she started asking for more. My puppy started clawing at her dish when i wasn't feeding her enough. Now i feed her 2 twice a day about 3 cups- she is 9 months and 55lbs
