The standard for the breed is 7 to 10 pounds. I have a breeding female that gets to almost that 10 pound mark at end of being PG. My others are all within the standard. My friend has rwo bigger females and they are 12 and 15 pounds~~

Excuse me, but the AKC Breed Standard for a Yorkshire Terrier is 3 to 7 pounds.

Records will show that there have been variations on that, ranging from under a Pound, to over Twenty Pounds. Both of these numbers are anomalies.

Any Yorkie which exceeds 7 Pounds, is affectionately called a TeaPot, and there area bunch of us out there ! :D
