How do I stop by 5-month old Australian Shepherd from jumping, biting and lunging?

I have tried all the methods...turning my back, saying no, putting him in a separate room, but as soon as he is back with us he is jumping. lunging and biting. We have to put him up when we eat because he tries to jump on the table and grab our food. We have given him every Kong toy we can find hoping that will satisfy his biting and chewing, but it hasn't. My husband wants to take him to the animal shelter. Help!

Instead of taking him to a shelter, why not take him to training classes. The dog is out of control and does not respect your commands. You will learn how to control your dog and teach them to be a better dog . Alot of what the dog is doing is because that is what they are trained to do. Yours has just taken it to the next level. You have to be the boss here again , the classes will help with that. Good luck.
