How do I go about or who would I ask to help with donations for my dogs ACL surgery?

My dog Gabby is a 19 montht old white Lab she needs 2 ACL surgeries ASAP. She is in a great deal of pain. It is going on 2 weeks now. I can't afford the $6,000.00 TPLO surgeries. I have already spent $800.00+ on xrays and radiology. In this current economy it seems everyone wants cash upfront. I am a single woman and just cant afford it. This dog is a sweetheart and deserves a chance at a long good life. I cannot stand to see her dragging her body around, but am willing to do anything for her.

If you want to ask for donations on Dogster you must contact HQ & ask permission.
If you can't raise the money quickly I would find a Lab rescue & surrender her so she can get the treatment that she needs.
Good luck!

Hi, I have seen donation requests in the Plus informational section. They may be other places as well. You have to contact headquarters and ask permission to ask for donations. The requests I have seen said HQ approved in the title. I think I read that it is better to ask for donations to be sent to your vet rather then a home address. I have seen fundraisers of different types as well, online auctions etc.
To contact HQ scroll down to the very bottom of the page and look for a link that says, contact Dogster. www.dogster.com You can also find FAQs and other information down there. You can also talk to your vet about payments or look at using a credit card. I once maxed out a gold MasterCard on a vet bill, but my l Merlin (parrot) is still with me and I never regretted the three years it took to pay off the bill. Try to think outside the box. You may be able to get some donations, some help from a fundraiser, some credit, some help from a rescue organiza.
luck
