How can I train and tame my Shiba Inu puppy to not bite people and be aggressive with them?

My puppy is 11 weeks old now, and he has already broke skin twice, and given many scrapes to my family. He also barks and growls whenever he sees my 11 year old daughter, and has bitten her hard enough on the foot to make her cry twice as well. He also hates to have his paws cleaned, nails trimmed, fur brushed, etc; even if we try to all keep our calm and coax him with nice treats and pet him with kind, soft words. My husband is already thinking of returning him to the breeder. Is there any way we can eliminate this behavior? Or is it something that will never be solved?

This is normal puppy behavior. Most experienced dog owners are prepared to teach puppy not to bite. If you have not had a puppy and are not familiar with Shiba's you are in over your head. (Heck, I've had dogs all my life, and I won't tackle a Shiba, too much work!)

Shiba Inu are sensitive and strong willed, not your typical dog at all. You can fix it with education. Find a trainer familiar with teaching the breed.

You absolutely should talk to the breeder. They will either help you find a trainer or help themselves. If all else fails, they should take the dog back and re-home him.

it is normal. Have you tried to enroll the puppy in a class with your kids? I would.
Or even enroll the kids and dog in 4h.
11 weeks old this dog will do much growing and puppies do play bite. A puppy that is bored will do it more. try teaching the puppy with rewards to sit, lay down ect.. do short brief sessions no longer then 10min. use your food to teach calmness while brushing. exercise your puppy reg. in short increments. buy chew toys like the rubber kong. when pup bites someone say ut ut and place rubber kong in front of his mouth, if he takes it praise him each and every time. give him an association with biting the toy not you or kids. good luck , he is being normal, this continues through teething from now til 10months. training from now on helps :)
