If you suspect a broken leg, you shoud immediately take your dog to the vet (or emergency vet if it is after hours). PLEASE do not waste valuable time online by asking serious medical questions in an emergency. Only a vet can help you by examining your dog in person.

This dog should go to the vet asap. You need to get this checked out. a broken bone left untreated and to mend on its own will mend wrong and will cause more problems and pain down the road. good luck.

I wouldn't try to touch the leg at all.

I would take the dog directly to the vet, right now, as soon as you possibly can.

If your dog has a broken leg, it is in excruciating pain, even if it isn't acting like it is.

Dogs in pain can act very normally, since they are instinctively covering up their vulnerability by acting calm.

If the dog isn't putting any weight on the leg, then that's a good sign something bad is wrong with it.

As a general rule, if the dog appears to have something wrong with it that YOU would take yourself or a member of your family to the emergency hospital or doctor for, then you should take your dog to the vet.

This rule certainly applies here. The longer the wait for the vet, the more pain your dog is in.
