How can I get rid of my dogs diarhea from eating bacon fat?
My dog ate a chunck of bacon fat a week ago and she has had diarrhea ever since. Is there some bacteria that she may have picked up from the bacon fat? Everything else with her is normal.

Withhold food for 24 hours.
If a dog is having trouble keeping anything down or continuing diarrhea try this out of the manual I have from a large, knowledgeable dog guide school.
Bland recovery diet for dogs.
3 parts cooked rice, one part boiled hamburger or chicken, or cottage cheese. I think you can substitute boiled potatoes for the rice. Once in an emergency, we bought a plain baked potato from Wendy's.
This is meant for short time settling a dog's digestive tract. It is not the complete and balanced diet they need long term. I have seen it work.
if it doesn't firm her up in a few days, see the vet.

Pancreatitis in canines; well, how about a bland diet for a week or so:

YOU may need to see the vet if this doesn't help here:

Bacon fat is pretty icky. There could of been some bacteria in it.
I would with hold food that you normally feed for one day, substitute plain white rice only.
Then the next day maybe add 1/2 c. plain rice with the kibble. That might be enough to help the digestive tract.
The rice might be enough to absorb some of the excess slime and fat trapped from the bacon.
Sometimes if you tear pieces of real brown whole wheat bread and feed it , it has the same effect. Just one slice only.
And tear the bread so the dog doesn't eat the whole slice.

If the diarrhea is frequent and uncontrollable then you need the vet's help as your dog is probably dehydrated at this point no matter how much water she is taking in.
If it is just sloppy stool a couple times a day then try the fast/bland food routine. I would use low fat chicken or 95% lean ground beef rather than anything with fat.
2 frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts which is about a pound of meat in the pot, add 3 cups of raw white rice and 6 cups of water. Bring to boil, reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes and stir. Turn off heat and stir contents, let cool on hot burner. Take chicken out and mince, return to pot. This makes enough food for my 44 pound dog for 3 days. 22% protein and 3% fat. 2 cups of rice and 1 pound of meat would be enough for 2 days and 28% protein and 3% fat. Hamburger would make a food that is 11% fat. 8 large 12 ounce potatoes substitute for 3 cups of rice and provide lots more fiber.
