how can i get our dog to not be scared of my fiance?
My fiance and I bought our miss treated rott from a neighbor. She never got fed, no water, no human interaction, no SHELTER!! she came home with us and she is wonderful. never had a better behaved dog in my life. but she is scared of everything. except women and children. shes scared to death of my fiance. . . for no reason he has never hit her and is a great person. shes also scared of his brother!! but if a male stranger comes in the house she will be ok with them. my fiance can sit down and pet her for hours or she will sleep with us in bed, if he moves or gets up she FREAKS and starts running away, running into furniture and walls. please help!!!!

Wow..so many issues & not enough characters to answer fully here. You may want to open a free account & repost this in the behavior & training forum. More information is needed to truly help you.
How long have you had her? How old is she? Do you know of any history of abuse by men? It is encouraging she feels safe enough to sleep with him, even if she freaks a bit when he moves.
Has she seen a vet to rule out anything physical..such as vision problems?
With the limited info here, patience is the best advice I can give you. Keep doing what you are doing & encourage your fiance to move slowly & calmly when he is around her. He could try modifying his voice into a higher pitch..closer to what women & children sound like. Think of how mothers talk to babies. Treats are good also...something special only your fiance & his brother get to give her. This creates a positive association of "men=tasty treats."
Massaging her butt, or neck/shoulders or cheeks is quite soothing to most dogs.

I understand my first dog was mistreated and was in a create 24 hours a day. NEVER was outside of a create. Well if you fiance wanted the dog that is ok, but if you fiance never wanted a dog that could be a reason why (my dog never liked my dad). I tried everything at petco they have puppy play time, training. I even watched dog whisper. (that helped) But he got better only by 10%out of 100.No one could fix him he was like that forever. I had to get rid of him. But my dog barked at my dad and was scared of everything and never trusted anyone. Also try testing your dog, see what she does and write it down. Make a diary of it, and maybe if you get a trainer she/he knows what they are working with. I know people have to work, but you should leave you dog with your fiance for a few hours and let him write down what happens, or even be in the room with him and work with your dog. if you rott is more than 4 months old it may be hard to train the dog.
