"Impulse control" Bowerman always does that, esp with leaves. My trainer made me work on impulse control: Stay, Leave it, Take it. We started at home. He knows "Place" which is his spot that hes supposed to sit at unless we tell him to move. I would drop treats close to him and work on leave it. Then I would toss the treats. At first he would run after it, but after a few times, he learned to stay at his place til I told him to "take it" After mastering that, I used toys, balls, and objects. Tossing it close to him, rolling it by him, etc. He's much improved. On our walks, he still will still want to lunge at debris, but if I say leave it, he controls himself.
