How can I get my dog to stop marking his territory in the house? I've tried everything I can think of and nothing is wor
My 3 year old Husky mix will not stop marking his territory in the house. I have bought urine cleaners and have cleaned every spot he has marked on throughly. I have also bought No-Go and sprayed it on every piece of furniture and corner. I have even bought a belly band for him and I make him wear it in the house. I tell him "no" in a stern voice when he lifts his leg to mark in the house and I praise him when he goes outside. I also let him out frequently.
My husband and I have asserted our dominance and do not allow him on the furniture or in our bed. Diego is fixed. We have a 8 month old female dog who is in heat right now, which complicates things. We are having her spayed as soon as her cycle is over. Right now she wears doggie diapers in the house.
All in all, we have tried everything we can think of. The belly band keeps his urine off of where he goes, but he still marks in the house even with the band on. He doesn't seem to mind being wet!
Can someone please help?

He may never have been house trained in his previous home. You have to start from scratch like a puppy. He should be crated, tethered or actively supervised 24/7. You must TAKE him out on a leash to toilet, then go back inside.

If he tries to pee indoors, correct as you have been, then take him outside and use a command word like 'potty'.
Use better rewards. Choose something super good that is only a potty reward. Give him lots of little bits over 20-30 seconds with lots of praise and pets.
If you make it worth his while, he will learn not to go indoors.

You are working with a double whammy here, since I assume Emma is also your dog? Most likely he was fairly recently neutered and is being really messed up by her being in heat. It is going to be extremely difficult to stop his marking WHILE she is in the same house with him. If I were you I would be using my crate more and confining them to the room you are in when they are loose. This means if you get up to go to another room they need to either be put back in their crates OR tethered to you and go with you.
In your other post you say you put Emma in her crate when she goes... this is likely to teach her to go in her crate, in her mind. She needs to go outside ON A LEASH the minute she starts to go in the house. Do NOT wait, and be very careful how harsh your "NO" command is... they may start going out of your sight because they know you don't like it.
I would guesstimate it make take several months for the "boy dog" to get out of his system. Meanwhile, CONFINE and/or Tether
