how can i excersise an old dog that has arthritis without pushing it to far?
My dog is 14 to 16 years old a golden retriever/bluetick hound she has a hard time getting up and running her joints are almost shot she may have hip despatia due to over eating and arthritis and she loves to play but i dont know what to do she cant go a couple blocks without tiring down what should i do i know there is a spray for arthritis but i have two dogs and the other is younger around 8 or 9

Hi- My Husky had hip displaysia, she only made it till 12, anyways, we let her go at her own pace- we took for a walk around our small block and if she seemed to be tired we immediatly turned around, one time we heard a pop in her hip and the Vet told us to let her go at her own pace and just watch her in the yard. Hope I helped
