how can I calm my dog during a thunderstorm?
my golden doodle is a complete nervous reck during a thunderstorm. is there anything I can do, to calm her down?

Pepper was the same way.
We got her a Thunder Shirt, followed the directions, and by the third time she wore it we did see a big improvement.
She used to drool, shake, pant and hide. She still follows me around and prefers to find a sheltered space, but the drooling, panting and uncontrolled shaking are 98% improved.

You can comfort her. Sit with her, pet her, and talk to her in a calm voice. Maybe cuddle with her, if she's a cuddler. Just make her comfortable. Oh yeah and close the windows and blinds.
