Hi, I have an 8 week old puppy. She is only 7 lbs. The rescue I got her from thinks she is a GSP/Husky/Lab mix.
But she seems so small. What do you think? Are they correct? Check out her picture.

Gee she is CUTE!
7 pounds at 8 weeks is pretty small. My Chocolate Lab was 12 pounds at 9 weeks and as an adult, was a healthy 65 pound dog.
Your little girl may only be about 50 pounds full grown.
It is possible she is younger or that she is mixed with a smaller breed.
Shelters do their best, but they can only guess.
Enjoy her! :D

Hi I know it's late to answer this but I think your shelter did a good job. I have a husky lab mix and if she were bred with a GSP she'd look just like this. What Lab owners should know is that they look like chunky labs when they're babies, but Huskies, especially females, can be much smaller dogs 35-50 pounds. I'm having trouble figuring out what to feed my girl as I can only guess at her adult weight.
Pepper Pot is an awesome name and that little one sure is special looking. BTW my girl was only 8 pounds about at 10 weeks. Pepper Pot should be 6 months now?
