The color doesn't mean anything. My black chihuahua has a black nose. My white & brown chihuahua has a pink nose. Light colored dogs sometimes have light colored noses. Depends on the coat color.

Brown and black are 2 color genes. A brown dog with a brown nose is a chocolate (or liver). A dog with a black nose but is still tan colored is a fawn (or sable) dog. Chocolate is a self dilution gene that bleaches black pigment to brown. This is genetically a black dog that is diluted. Fawn is simply the absence of black. This is a "not black" dog.
