Hey guys I have an aussie puppy with a medium coat, i have been giving him tons of water but he is still too hot when it

what should i do to cool him down our house is very humid but we have a fan going at all times and windows open. I am worried about the diarhea but i know its because he is too hot. what should i do because i dont want to feed him to add to the poop situation but i dont want to starve him! please any info is appreciated

Are you sure the diarrhea is from the heat? If so, I got koby a kiddie pool. I put some toys and ice cubes in it and he plays and stays cool. If the diarrhea continues, I would get him to a vet.

I live in SE Texas, with two very active Yorkies. We Jog and they get very hot. I usually keep their coats cut medium to short, but in addition to that, I "scalp" the hair from their necks (under them) to their privates.
This leaves literally bare skin, which offers a good cooling air flow, or pressed against cool floor tile, or a wet surface, gives them a very functional way to cool down quickly. Given that it's totally underneath them, it's not noticeable.
