HELP please??!! What should I do and how much do you think the vet will cost? What should I do if it did have worms for a long time already?!?
There has been this stray dog around my house for sometime now and I took it to live with me. It's been several days since she lived with me. But I do not know what to do and I want to learn. But I think it has worms for some time now because of the physical features of the dog and its poop.
I researched and I think it has worms. I'm not sure what kind though but it coughs, sniff a lot, has black circles around its' eyeballs, no shiny hair, bad teeth, no weight gain, hair loss, white rice-looking-worms etc.
I am very worry and I want to take it to the vet but I'm scared to find out how much it will be.
She looks like shes very old and I don't know how long it's been like this. HELP please??!! What should I do and how much do you think it will cost? What should I do if it did have worms for a long time already?!?

It depends on where you live how much it costs. Here it costs $50.00 just to have the vet look at it. It appears from your description, the dog needs urgent medical care NOW. If you can't afford it, then take it to a no kill shelter. You can google them to find the closest one to you. Good Luck!

If there is a ASPCA or Humane Society take the dog there to see a Vet. You should tell them you picked it up as a stray. They usually have lower costs and in the case of a stray they may be able to take the dog off your hands if needed.
The medical problems may include heartworm, intestinal worms, bordetella and old age. Depending on how sick and old they may say the kindest thing is to put her to sleep. The expenses may be considerable if she does have all the illnesses I listed.
Who knows if she's ever been vaccinated or seen a Vet before.
It's very kind of you to take in a stray, especially one in such bad shape. Be prepared in case it's bad news. It's so easy for a dog to steal your heart, and so painful when they break it.
Best wishes to you both!

It is a wonderful thing that you took this dog into your home! But, without addressing her medical issues she isn't going to get well on her own and will continue to suffer.
I agree with checking with a local shelter or humane society for help. She IS a stray and they could perhaps get her back into good health or better health knowing that you are willing to take her back. Perhaps they would even foster her with you while she is being treated.
Good luck to you and her!!

It depends on the vet and the area, on average it will cost about $35 for the exam, vaccines are $14-25 each and on average dogs need 4 of them (may be more or less in your area), as for dewormer it depends on the size of the dog (for our 75lb. lab, our vet overcharged us $75 for highest quality dewormer), and I assume because this dog is not your own you won't be getting heartworm pills for it, but if you do it costs about $40 for 6 mo.
If you are comfortable and are not overly squimish (they have a video on how to and most people can) you can buy dog vaccinations as well as a very good over the counter generic wormer from drsfostersmith.com
hope this helps! and good luck with the stray.
