Help! My puppy is acting very strange!!

I have a female black lab mix (almost 8 months). She has always been very active and friendly until today. Around 3 today she started acting really paranoid and strange. She was following me around and crying a lot and nothing I would do could sooth her. Every time someone would try to pet her (which she usually loves) she would yelp and run away. She has also been shaking a lot too. At supper time when I put her food out she wouldn't eat and I have also noticed that she hasn't touched her water today. Now that it is ed time she usually will go right to sleep but she has just been standing on the bed and staring into space. I am really worried because she never acts like this. Does anybody know what might be wrong with her? What should I do?
