Cookies 'n' Creme (1998-2011)

She reminds me of an Australian Cattle Dog.
She's cute, BTW!

She looks like a short-haired Australian Shepherd- not a Cattle Dog, because they are NOT merles (their coloring is ticking, not merling). So maybe Aussie crossed with a slim, smooth-coated dog like a Whippet maybe, or a Doberman.

Could also be a Catahoula mix- this probably depends on where she was born- 'Houlas are pretty common in Louisiana and nearby states, but quite rare in other regions.

Anyway, mutts can inherit any mix of traits from their parents, and may resemble neither of them. There are only so many genes that control dogs appearance, but MANY ways they can be combined to creat radically different phenotypes.

Wow, I've been involved professionally with showing and breeding dogs for the last 40 years and I can honestly say, there are no where near 1,000 different breeds. I'd LOVE to see your list!!!!
As for your breed, I would guess Catalouha mix.

McKayla

Catahoula mix. Merle pattern also resembles Aussie mix too.

Hate to burst your bubble, but there are not nearly 1,000 breeds of dogs. The AKC has 150+ (can't remember the exact number) listed, and that doesn't include the miscellaneous class breeds and the Foundation Stock service breeds. Still...that is WAY under 1,000 breeds.

Just helping you out with your numbers. :)

I think the way Marleys ears are shaped and the face, Marley could be a mix of a Border Collie...Just guessing...

Marley-Catahoula Leopard Dog/Border Collie

There could be a chance where Marley could be that breed!...

Hoped I helped!..Marley is a Beautiful Pup!!..Love the colors on her!..
