Has anyone used Iams Prostora Max for eye stains?

I've developed the dreaded eye stains and I was told that Prostora worked to clear the staining, even though it wasn't initially meant for this. The package gives dosage guidelines for the first 7 days, but I wondered how long you should continue to take it. Mom says it is quite pricey...but I know I'm worth it.
