Growling, snapping problem - Help
We've had our Chihuahua over a year now and he's always loved my mum, but lately in the past 2 weeks? he's been growling and snapping at her when ever she goes near him, he'll happily lie on her but if she moves him he snaps and if she comes near me he'll growl? He even jumped up onto her the other day to pee on her and then ran off? We dunno why or how to stop this? Any Ideas?
(She has never hit or hurt him in any way which would lead to this either?)

Most likely he is reaching maturity and has started becoming protective of his family. If he is not neutered yet it can certainly help, especially with his peeing on her.
Otherwise, he needs lots of good socialization, meeting new people and places and having strangers (and your Mom), give him tidbits of his favorite treats for good behavior. When your Mom comes over have her armed with his favorite treat and have her keep tossing pieces to him. Make sure she is not staring at him OR forcing him to respond to her by picking him up, etc. Let him make the advances.
Enrolling him in a good, positive based training class can certainly help with this socialization as well as helping you deal with him when he puts on these displays of his toughness. A good trainer will observe his behavior and have helpful advice for dealing with it.
