from where does the havanese descend ?. Was it originally a mix of breeds?

Try www.akc.org I think they have descriptions of all their breeds.

The reference book I have doesn't list them. It isn't the greatest.

The havanese comes from a small white dog in the Meditteranean area. It's cousins are the bichon frise, maltese, bologonese, and Coton de tulear.
