dog scared?

he is a 10 year old basset hound..does anybody have any advice for watson? When he is home he is wreck.. he is spooked most of the time he is here.. shaking, panting, .. scared...staring out into space... but there is also times where he is happy playing like nothing is bothering him.... when he is not home he is perfectly normal.... We have tried everything, from Medicine to herbal remedies.. It just happens..... i dont know what i can do or try... this is very stressful.. He just had his physical last month , so there I know he is healthy..
ive even gone as far as to call the pet physic..

has he had a bad experiance at home??..if not then dont give him attention when hes like this give him treats when he plays and is relaxed..when hes tence and shaking.what is your reations to him..?and also when he is home and outside is he still the same..i need to know before i can give you any more advice..thankyou..

Poor thing.... I know dealing with your dog when he has one of these episodes is stressful, but please, do not give him up. Do not show signs of anger or stress when he does this, because it may scare him more. Try to comfort him by petting him and talking in a soothing voice. If this seems to make him even more nervous, do not try to play with him or take him for a walk unless he has to go to the bathroom. Discuss this with your vet also, because a vet does not only help out in health crisises, but also can give you good advice in miscellainous situations such as yours. Good luck!
