If I understand correctly your pug has 2 dewclaws on the same paw. I don't think it is typical for a pug to have this but it just happens some times. I thought responsible pug breeders always had dew claws removed but I could be wrong. The Great Pyrenees do have and are expected to have double dew claws on both hind legs. If your thinking of getting it removed and he isn't neutered yet, a lot of people will choose to have both done at the same time. If it doesn't bother him just keep it trimmed to ensure sharp pointy edges don't get caught on things. Have a good one.

It's simply an abnormality that can occur in any breed. It's too bad that the breeder of his litter didn't have the dew claws removed at birth. Just keep the toenails clipped to reduce the chance of him catching them on the carpet or ??? that can be a real problem. If you have the money, get them removed now. Hope this helps!!
