Desperate for Help Making Right Decision in Current Bad Situation w/EAS dog

I really need help from others who might understand. My p-doc wrote order 4 ESA, which I thought would b a great idea. My Mom said we wld adopt 1 dog and "share her" (which I thought wld be perfect) but Mom ending up adopting 2, 1 4 me & 1 for her w/out really thinking it thru & having NO CLUE (b/c encouraged by others), adopted puppy mill rescues.(So many issues w/that, where do I even begin?) So I now have this precious toy poodle estim. @ 2 yrs old who is extremely high energy & seems in love with life. She was supposed to help me with my severe anxiety, depression, agoraphobia,isolation/loneliness, bipolar disorder, etc. The problem:I am under tremendous stress, suicidal, angry all the time now. Best friend & Mom say 2 stick it out but I feel Chloe is suffering & I don't know what 2 do. I wish some1 wld "foster" her 4 me n case I get better-don't no of any1. What shld I do? What is morally right? I love Chloe. Don't no where 2 turn??? -Melissa

This is a very hard one to reply to . Is there someone you know that could take her for awhile, maybe a friend that you could still go and visit once in while? I hope you get more answers here, and i wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.

Dogs aren't a prescription drug, obviously... they help some people and not others. Don't feel bad about this, you didn't know how it would turn out.
Can you talk about this with a therapist or counselor of some kind? Everyone who'd having mental health issues should have someone to talk to outside the pressure of their family... I know, I've been there. Also I don't mean to pry, but maybe you should be on medication, or if you already are, maybe change what drugs or change the dosage. Maybe if you got your meds (and moods) stabilized, Chloe could actually start helping you. Petting a dog is calming, walking her could help with your agoraphobia, etc.

Hang in there... Try to find someone calm and non-judgemental you can talk to honestly in real life. The internet isn't everything!
